Software Engineer II, Backend (Consumer Engineering)

Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to build scalable foundational systems and data pipelines to power our Card platforms. You will partner closely with our Product and Engineering teams to design robust Card Processing systems, which enable us to operate and forecast with the highest degree of integrity and precision.
Responsibilities
- - Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases
- - Collaborate with product management, design & analytics during the product development lifecycle
- - Create and monitor metrics to support operations and availability of team artifacts
- - Engage in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process
- - Build and integrate data pipelines from a wide variety of products and systems
- - Build a foundational platform for reconciling transactions across systems, partners, and cash movements
- - Participate in on-call rotation as required
Required Skills
- - 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- - Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems
- - Proficient in Python
- - Familiar with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- - Ability to write clear, well-tested, and extensible code
- - Comfortable navigating a large code base and debugging others' code
- - Strong verbal and written communication skills
