Job Description
We are excited to add a Senior Software Engineer to our Real-Time Data Systems team, ideally based in a North American time zone. This individual contributor will help design and build the distributed systems that power our real-time data platform — ingesting, processing, and serving high-throughput data with low latency and high reliability.
Responsibilities
- - Write production Go code regularly
- - Make architectural decisions that balance performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost
- - Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, observability, and operational excellence
- - Collaborate with data science, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver customer value
- - Establish best practices for code quality, testing, and system design in high-throughput environments
Required Skills
- - 5+ years building and scaling distributed systems in production
- - Strong proficiency in Golang with experience writing performance-sensitive services
- - Hands-on experience with OLAP databases such as Clickhouse, BigQuery, or Snowflake
- - Experience designing systems that handle high throughput (e.g., event streams, streaming pipelines, or real-time analytics)
- - Experience operating systems in production (monitoring, debugging, incident response)
- - Strong focus on system maintainability, operational excellence, and technical debt management
- - Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and modern deployment practices
- - Comfort making architectural tradeoffs and explaining decisions clearly
