Responsibilities

• - Design and develop our public API product
• - Collaborate with the team to prioritize and implement impactful features
• - Ensure robustness of existing features and minimize downtime
• - Maintain top-notch documentation
• - Iterate quickly based on user feedback
• - Monitor API usage and make data-driven decisions
• - Work closely with a small, senior team

Required Skills

• - 7+ years of professional Python backend experience
• - 3+ years designing and maintaining APIs consumed by external partners
• - Strong experience with Python and FastAPI (or Starlette)
• - Debugged concurrency issues in production
• - Owned the design and evolution of a public-facing API surface
• - Deep understanding of API reliability and commitment to high standards
• - Strong sense of ownership and collaboration
• - Experience in a high-performing engineering team
• - Bonus: Experience with Python API deployment patterns
• - Bonus: Worked on image editing in Python
• - Bonus: Experience integrating image AI models behind an API
• - Bonus: Experience with Node.js
• - Bonus: Created integrations for an API
• - Fluent in English
