Security Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• - Work with the Head of Engineering to develop the security strategy
• - Operate and improve security infrastructure including SIEM, WAFs, Firewalls and EDR/AV
• - Work with engineering teams to ensure best practices including secure development, security testing, vulnerability remediation and supply chain security
• - Work with DevOps on Cloud Security Posture and ensure appropriate IAM structures
• - Work closely with Governance, Risk and Compliance to maintain certifications and identify opportunities for automation

Required Skills

• - Hands-on experience in Security Operations Centre, Product/Application Security, Cloud Infrastructure Security, or Cloud DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering
• - Experience with Cloud security
• - Confident writing code in at least one mainstream programming language
• - Security generalist willing to engage in different security specialisms
• - Pragmatic, result and risk oriented approach to security
• - Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• - Confident writing code in Go and Javascript
• - Experience implementing a Zero Trust security strategy
• - Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform
• - Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including Agile SDLC, CI/CD, iterative development, automated testing
• - Solid understanding of Enterprise security, such as MDM, EDR, CASB, and/or SASE configuration and management
