As the Platform Engineering Lead at Coder, you will lead architectural and technical decisions related to platform engineering and internal DevOps.

Responsibilities
- - Drive architecture decisions related to infrastructure and deployments
- - Support internal infrastructure for engineering
- - Translate product vision into clear technical roadmaps; drive execution end‑to‑end
- - Train and uplift engineering and field teams on infrastructure-related work
- - Hold a high bar for code quality, security, and performance; instill best practices
Required Skills
- - 7+ years in infrastructure and platform engineering, with at least 3 years leading teams
- - Proven record of shipping software to large enterprise customers
- - Experience contributing to or leading open source projects
- - Deep technical foundation in Linux
- - Kubernetes & containers
- - At least one major public cloud (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- - IP networking & HTTP fundamentals
- - Infrastructure as Code
