Job Description
As the Director of Security Operations, you will be responsible for safeguarding our people, operations, and assets across all markets where we operate, leading security operations in high-risk environments across Africa.
Responsibilities
- - Translate Wave's risk appetite into actionable security frameworks
- - Serve as primary crisis response leader for security incidents
- - Lead response to critical incidents including terrorist activity and civil unrest
- - Establish crisis response protocols and business continuity plans
- - Lead, mentor, and develop security managers and staff
- - Ensure physical security measures are in place for offices and cash operations
- - Collaborate with engineering security team to develop tools and systems
Required Skills
- - 8-12+ years in security, risk, or resilience leadership
- - Experience managing security operations in high-risk countries
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- - Extensive experience in high-risk, volatile environments
- - Proven track record leading and developing distributed security teams
- - Demonstrated experience in crisis management
- - Strong knowledge of security landscapes across West and Central Africa
- - Fluent in English, French fluency preferred
